Sonre\u00edr cuando no est\u00e1s de acuerdo. Callar en una reuni\u00f3n para no generar fricci\u00f3n. Decir \u201ctodo va bien\u201d cuando claramente no es as\u00ed. Por ejemplo:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><i>Esa reuni\u00f3n en la que algo no te cuadra, pero decides no decir nada. <br>Ese feedback que suavizas tanto que pierde sentido.<br>Ese \u201cbueno, no pasa nada\u201d cuando en realidad s\u00ed pasa.<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 lo hacemos?<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Porque ser agradable funciona. Evita tensiones, mantiene el buen ambiente y nos ahorra momentos inc\u00f3modos. A corto plazo, es una estrategia muy eficaz.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>El problema es lo que deja detr\u00e1s.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Los temas importantes no se abordan a tiempo. Los errores se repiten. Y las conversaciones que deber\u00edan hacer avanzar al equipo\u2026 nunca llegan a ocurrir.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Entonces: \u00bfcu\u00e1ntas veces confundimos \u201cno generar problemas\u201d con \u201chacer bien nuestro trabajo\u201d? \u00bfCu\u00e1ntas veces estamos siendo \u201cagradables\u201d cuando en realidad estamos \u201cevitando\u201d lo que debemos hacer?<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4>La exigencia de la verdadera amabilidad<\/h4>\r\n\r\n<p>La amabilidad no debe confundirse con la complacencia. Ser amable, de verdad, es otra cosa:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><i>Es decirle a alguien algo que necesita escuchar, aunque no le guste. <br>Es tener una conversaci\u00f3n inc\u00f3moda porque sabes que es necesaria. <br>Es intervenir cuando algo no funciona, aunque te exponga.<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Y no, eso no suele ser c\u00f3modo. De hecho, muchas veces uno se siente justo al rev\u00e9s. Pero ah\u00ed est\u00e1 la clave: <b>la amabilidad no va de evitar el malestar inmediato, sino de generar algo mejor despu\u00e9s.<\/b> M\u00e1s claridad, m\u00e1s confianza, m\u00e1s aprendizaje. Es una inversi\u00f3n, no un gesto.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4>Liderar desde la incomodidad \u00fatil<\/h4>\r\n\r\n<p>En el desarrollo directivo, esta distinci\u00f3n es cr\u00edtica. Muchos directivos, con la mejor intenci\u00f3n, intentan \u201ccuidar\u201d a sus equipos evitando cualquier incomodidad. No quieren generar tensi\u00f3n, ni molestar, ni ser percibidos como duros. Y sin darse cuenta, entran en la trampa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Porque un equipo al que no se le dice la verdad, no mejora. Un colaborador sin feedback claro, no crece. Y una organizaci\u00f3n donde todo se suaviza\u2026 acaba funcionando por debajo de su potencial.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b>Cuidar no es proteger de todo. Cuidar es ayudar a mejorar, aunque eso implique momentos inc\u00f3modos.<\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>La alternativa exige madurez. Y tambi\u00e9n coraje. Porque liderar desde la aut\u00e9ntica amabilidad y generosidad implica aceptar que:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li> No todo feedback ser\u00e1 bien recibido.<\/li>\r\n    <li>No todas las conversaciones ser\u00e1n c\u00f3modas.<\/li>\r\n    <li>No todas las decisiones generar\u00e1n consenso inmediato.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Pero tambi\u00e9n implica algo m\u00e1s potente: construir <b>donde la verdad tiene espacio, donde las personas crecen y donde los problemas se resuelven<\/b>\u2014no se posponen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Cuando dudes entre ser \u201cagradable\u201d o ser realmente \u201camable\u201d, prueba con esta pregunta:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><i>\u00bfEstoy actuando para evitar incomodidad ahora\u2026 o para generar valor despu\u00e9s? \u00bfEstoy haciendo esto para que ahora todo sea m\u00e1s c\u00f3modo\u2026 o para que despu\u00e9s sea mejor?<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>No siempre es f\u00e1cil responderla, pero cuando lo haces con honestidad, suele marcar bastante bien el camino.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4>Summary<\/h4>\r\n\r\n<p><b>La complacencia busca aprobaci\u00f3n. La amabilidad busca impacto.<\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Y en el liderazgo \u2014y, en realidad, en cualquier relaci\u00f3n profesional\u2014 una de ellas construye confianza de verdad. La otra solo la simula.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Piensa en una conversaci\u00f3n que llevas tiempo evitando. Todos tenemos una.
